SENIOR BUYER: JEWELLERY & HAIR ACCESSORIESBecs joined OB in 2007 and works on the development and buying of our costume jewellery, hair accessories and sunglasses chains. One of her favourite parts of her job is travelling to see suppliers and trawling the components markets to source ideas and shape new design concepts for our costume jewellery ranges.

Always on the lookout for innovative techniques and design profiles, Becs has ensured our jewellery collections always have a fresh, modern feel, while remaining unique and joyful. She’s a big believer in the importance of the little details, from the colours selected right down to the style of clasp used.

Something Becs really enjoys about jewellery is its diversity. One day you can layer delicate pieces for an elegant, subtle look, and the next you might make a statement with a bold, impactful piece. It can be playful and express your style, or the pieces you choose can be hugely sentimental, holding cherished memories and meaning.
‘I have a vintage necklace that my partner bought for me from an antique shop. It has a huge organic freshwater pearl and I wear it most days. My youngest daughter is called Pearl, so it has a lot of meaning for me. I also love my engagement ring, which I designed with my friend. It has a huge morganite gemstone encased in gold that was melted down from jewellery pieces once worn by family, so it is very special.’
