Global initiatives and partners
We believe that sustainability is about collaboration, not competition. As part of our commitment to operate in a way that has integrity, is ethical and does not negatively impact others or the environment, we are working with other like-minded organisations to achieve greater scale, change and impact.
Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI)
We are proud to have been a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) since 2017, which is a leading alliance of companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes respect for workers’ rights around the globe. We are an active member of ETI, working closely with other members to work in partnership on projects aimed at tackling key ethical trade issues and high-risk areas.
Better Business Act (BBA)
In 2021 we pledged our support to the Better Business Act, a campaign to change the UK law to ensure every company in the UK aligns their interests with those of wider society and the environment. The campaign was initiated by B Lab UK and currently has over 1,000 businesses in the coalition.
WRAP & Textiles 2030
We are proud to be a signatory to Textiles 2030, the ground-breaking new initiative run by the NGO WRAP. Textiles 2030 is the UK’s most ambitious voluntary agreement, designed to limit the impact clothes and home textiles have on climate change in line with the Paris Agreement and the UN Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action.
By 2030, signatories will reduce sector GHG emissions in line with a 1.5-degree Celsius trajectory (by 50%), reduce the water footprint of products sold by 30%, and follow a circularity roadmap which will ensure items are made to be recyclable, more products are acquired for re use, and more circular raw material than linear raw material is in new products.
The initiative will use a ‘Target, Measure, Act’ approach, where businesses set targets, measure their impact, and track progress on an individual basis towards national targets.

British Retail Consortium (BRC)
We work collaboratively with a range of other retailers and brands through the British Retail Consortium (BRC). We are an active supporter of the BRC Climate Roadmap to Net Zero by 2040 and attend multiple working groups including one centred around ethical labour.
Small brands working group
In addition to these formal industry initiatives, we also meet regularly with a range of peer retailers and brands.
We discuss challenges and good practices around ethical sourcing and sustainability, as well as queries or concerns about shared suppliers.
By working collaboratively, transparently and sharing insight with others in our industry we increase our leverage for change.
