Hello, Beverley

We’re excited to be opening our doors for the first time in Beverley, East Yorkshire! Read on to find out a little more about our new OB store and the inspiration behind the interior design.

Why Beverley?

One of our OB team members is from the area local to Beverley and suggested it would be a great location for a new store opening. Our founder, Olly is often out and about around the UK visiting new areas and stopped into Beverley on a visit. He loved the town and felt OB would fit in well there. And so, the design began!

The building that’s now home to our new store is Grade II Listed, with the original part of the building dating back to the 18th century. It’s located in a charming area of Beverley’s market town – with only pedestrian access along the street front.

We worked closely with the English Heritage organisation to ensure our store design was in keeping with the fabric of the original building.

We’ve gone all out on the design of a new ‘walk-in’ fixture to really catch our customers’ eyes as they enter the store by feature-framing new product designs.

– Brendan, Head of Store Design
The front half of the original space is set out with irregular angles – which is a legacy of the orientation of the building. The rear half is a more modern extension of the building, rectangular in shape. Our store design is centred around ensuring subtle cues blend old and new to bring together the whole space - using bespoke fixtures, feature lighting and materials.
We hope to see you in our Beverley store very soon.
