How it gets made: The fiore collection
The concept
Molly says, “the collection was designed in Jaipur on a visit to our supplier. Working closely with their construction team, we brainstormed new ideas and techniques to use and I started sketching a few ideas here and there – I mapped out the whole range in an hour. The inspiration was taken from this season’s Enlightenment theme, which has a modern yet opulent feel, so I wanted to use a lot of gold and dark wood, along with tassels to bring element of playfulness.”

The craftmanship
“I saw the collection being made by hand”, says Freja. “The pieces are so beautifully detailed – each groove is hand-routed, then the sheets of brass are carefully pressed into the design. The brass is tacked down discreetly, before two coats of lacquer are applied for durability, and to add extra shine. Our larger pieces like the cabinets and sideboard require multiple sheets of brass, and so much care is taken in the finishing of each piece.”
The completed look
Whether you’re looking for office, hallway, living room, or bedroom furniture, “the styles in our Fiore collection are designed to be highlight of the room you’re placing them in”, says Molly. “Add a side table to uplift a small space or choose a bolder design like a large storage cabinet, sideboard or desk.” These dark mango wood furniture pieces are finished with tasselled Mother of Pearl handles and are best paired with shining metallic gold homeware, lush velvet furniture and colourful home accessories.
